  Educational Program

Methods and Courses

All courses are designed for Arabic speaking children from all communities and they comprise:

A)     Nursery

B)     Reception

C)     Year1 to year 6

D)     GCSE

E)     AS

F)     A2

The courses from year 1 to year 6 are designed to enable learners not only to communicate in Modern Standard Arabic using various examples of everyday situations, but will also cover reading, writing, speaking, and Arabic comprehension. At the end of year six, pupils should be able to write and read Arabic with confidence. They will also be able to hold conversations in Arabic and express themselves lucidly and elegantly.

Curriculum

The Palestinian School adopts one of the best Arabic curriculums which cover the years from Nursery to year 6. This curriculum is recognized by the Lebanese Ministry of Education, and has been chosen by the head master of the school, Akram Hamdan PhD, who has long experience in education and providing rigorous curriculums. This curriculum has also proved to be the most suitable for children who live in the West, and gained excellent reputation among a number of leading, moderate, private Arabic schools.

The school also offers classes for GCSE, AS and A2 students. The school implements a curriculum specially designed for this level of student.

Language and Culture

It has been arranged for specialists from Palestine who are expert in Palestinian art, culture, and folklore, including traditional Dabka (folkloric dancing) and embroidery,to participate at the school and contribute to its cultural activities and art program for the benefit of the children.
The school has also made arrangements to have students sent over to Palestine for activity summer camps, in order for them to improve their Arabic, acquire knowledge and experience about the Palestinian people, their historical places, their customs, and their values.
By holding Eid parties, family picnics, and other social activities, the school will provide the Palestinian community in particular, and the Arab community in
general, with a space where they can meet up and share a happy social environment. Parents will be to a great extent involved in the teaching process
via Notes written in student's homework and parent meetings.
